The Truth Plan is a self help plan. Please read this book to find out how to eliminate the Racial, Wealth and Equity Gap that exists between the low income, the middle income, the black and brown communities and the higher income community. The Truth Plan shows us how to help to eliminate the inequities in Affordable Housing, Unemployment, Healthcare, Education, The Media, Small Businesses, Access To Capital and much more. The Truth Plan also shows us how the elimination of these inequities also benefits the higher income community.

Getting People In The Black, Brown, Low And Middle Income Communities Safely Employed Is Of The Utmost Importance To The Truth Plan (TM).

The Truth Plan intends to have a strong, positive impact on the unemployment rate. Particularly in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities and the low and middle income communities in general. The Truth Plan will focus on these communities. The Truth Plan’s goal in the area of unemployment is to create jobs, to retain jobs, and to provide skills and training to prepare more and more residents of these communities for employment. The Truth Plan intends to create a national training and employment agency. This agency’s main focus will be (i) to increase the number of residents that live in the aforementioned communties, that are trained and armed with the skills that they need to be productive in the work force (ii) to find them jobs in the work force. The Truth Plan also understands that with any employment initiative in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities and the low and middle income communities in general, a comprehensive day care program must be created. Single family households and households where both heads of the household must work, will need good solid child day care programs available to them.

AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING AND HOME OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THE BLACK, BROWN, LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COMMUNITIES

The housing problems in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities and the low and middle income communities in general, needs to be fixed and can be fixed. The Truth Plan will do our part to help to fix these problems. Make no mistake about it, The Truth Plan by itself cannot fix all of these problems for everyone but I do know that we can address many of these problems for many people. Lack of home ownership in the low and middle income communties is a big problem. Most of the people who live in the low income communities in America do not own the home that they live in. Public housing makes up a lot of the housing in the low income communities in America. There are many families in public housing that get their rental payments supplemented (if not fully paid) by the government. Make no mistake about it, I do know that the government does need to offer help to families and individuals who need the help. I do believe that if given an opportunity, most of the residents in the low income communities would prefer to own their own home. Even if it is the very same home that the government is subsidizing for them. In addition, there is a lack of affordable housing for the Extremely Low, Very Low and the Low Income communities in general. The Truth Plan can help by providing much needed rental units, with a focus on the Extremely Low, the Very Low, the Low, the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. We intend to work with the Federal, State and Local Government. We intend to build new rental units, rehabilitate existing properties that are in disrepair, and add them to the affordable and available list of rental units in these communities. We intend to accept government subsidies for rental payments, along with payment from the tenants who have income. I do know that the Federal, State and Local Governments, fund housing projects in the Extremely Low, the Very Low, the Low, the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. I also know that we need more funding and more projects. However, to make meaningful change in these communities, it is not enough for Federal, State and Local Governments to only fund housing projects in these communities. There must be a mandate that the Developers, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Architects, Environmentalists, Structural Engineers and all of the trades involved in the housing development in these communities, (in large part) be members of the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. There is a economic component to housing development. Just as building jails are profitable for those who are involved in the process of building jails (most of whom are not from the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities) there is profit for those in the process of building housing. If the housing projects are going to provide housing for people in the Extremely Low, the Very Low, the Low, the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities, we must ensure that the Developers, General Contractors, Subcontracts, Architects, Environmentalists, Structural Engineers and all of the trades involved in the housing development in these communities, (in large part) be members of the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. We must work to ensure that we grow the number of Developers, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Architects, Environmentalists, Structural Engineers and all of the trades involved in the housing development in these communities, who are African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American. The Truth Plan intends to eliminate the age old excuse that we cannot find any qualified Developers, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Architects, Environmentalists, Structural Engineers and all of the trades involved in the housing development in these communities, that are African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American. The Truth Plan belives that the implementation of Federal Goverment infrastructure plan, should inlcude a mandate that businesses from the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communites, be awarded at least twenty percent of the construction contracts (that are awarded pursuant to the infrastructure plan) to rebuild the United States of America's infrastructure.

Small Businesses In The Black, Brown, Low And Middle Income Communities


There are many problems facing small businesses. In particular, small businesses in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities and the low and middle income communities in general. These problems range from lack of capital, lack of mentorship, employees problems to competing against big businesses. The Truth Plan intends to work hard at eliminating these problems. The Truth Plan understands that many good ideas turn into good business plans. However, these business plans do not get implemented because the potential business owner does not have enough capital or access to capital in order to implement these business plans. The Truth Plan intends to encourage people in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities and the low and middle income communities in general, to create business plans. We also plan to review existing business plans for those who have them and want to implement their plan. We plan to review the plans, study the feasibility of these plans and determine whether or not we will give financial support to the business owner to implement their business plan. The Truth Plan also intends to offer start-up and existing small businesses office and warehouse space in our planned business incubators, when it is safe to do so. In the book I explore the aforementioned problems and I tell you what impact Truth Plan intends to have on these problems.

EDUCATION


All children are capable of learning. The children are our future and we must not fail them. We must arm them with the education that they need to be future leaders. We must understand the unique circumstances that exist in the poor and low income and urban communities and adapt our methods of delivering a quality education, to the circumstance that we find our children in. Until we change the condition of the poor and low income communities, we must find meaningful ways to educate the children of these communities and close the performance gap between the children of the low income urban communities and the children of other communities. I discuss this issue in depth in the book.

HEALTHCARE

Healthcare or the lack thereof for many people who live in America is one of the most sobering problems we have in America. America is the richest country in the world. The country that is the leader of the free world for a long time had a system that turns its back in many cases on people that need help because they do not have health insurance or they cannot pay for healthcare from their own resources. I believe that The Affordable Care Act has provided help to many people who lacked healthcare for many reasons. I do know that generally insurance companies in the past did not cover pre-existing conditions, because of their cost exposure. But covering pre-existing conditions is the right thing to do. Many insurance companies countered the Affordable Care Act by increasing premiums to their clients, in an effort to ensure profits, because of the cost exposure of covering pre-existing conditions. That is why some complain that the Affordable Care Act has caused their premiums to go up. I do not believe that premiums have to go up in order for the insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions and remain profitable. I do know that members of the healthcare community did pay large amounts of dollars to go to medical schools and or incurred a large amount of debt to complete medical school. I do know that investors do invest in private hospitals and do expect a profit on their investments. I do know that the companies that make the medical equipment that are used in hospitals and treatment facilities, do not give these products and equipment to the healthcare facilities and hospitals for free. I do know that many of the medical research companies do not spend large amounts of dollars to create medicines to cure and fight diseases, infection and illnesses in general just to lose money. I do know that the people who buy stocks in these companies are expecting a return on their investment. I do know that it costs large amounts of money to build these medical facilities and to treat the people that are sick. However, despite all of the aforementioned, it should not give the medical and insurance community a right to deny medical assistance whether it be preventive, general or critical healthcare to all Americans. I believe healthcare can be profitable without excluding people who cannot afford health insurance or afford to pay for healthcare from their own resources. There are many people who need treatment for diseases such as cancer and many other diseases, however they cannot afford to pay for it nor do they have health insurance. Are we saying that if you get sick you better have money or you better find a way to have health insurance? The Truth Plan will advocate for preventive care and potential solutions to the problem of lack of health insurance for many Americans.Preventive care is very important in fighting sickness and disease. If we take care of our bodies and make an effort to undertake preventive care of our bodies, we just may not get sick or get any diseases until much later in life. If we actively participate in preventive care measures even if we get sick or get any disease our bodies will have a stronger chance of fighting off the disease. Our bodies are made to protect itself. If we keep our bodies in balance our bodies will heal itself. A healthy diet is very important in keeping our bodies fit and functioning in balance. I do not mean diet as we sometimes know it. I am not referring to the diets we go on when we feel we want to lose weight. I am referring to a certain way of eating on a daily basis. I know some of the most unhealthy foods are sometimes the most tasty foods. Our society is filled with fast foods and fast food chains. These foods are high in fat and cholesterol, grease and many ingredients that are not good for the body. These foods eaten in large amounts and eaten frequently puts a strain on the body’s digestive system and fills the body with substances that are harmful to the body. Many of these fast foods are sold to the public at fairly inexpensive prices. The pricing and the taste generally appeals to all, however many people who live in the low and middle income communities find themselves eating these fast foods often because it fits their budget and is quick. Alternative medicine for the general maintenance of our bodies is a very important tool in giving ourselves a better chance of living a better quality life and a longer healthier life. Alternative medicine is growing in popularity in America, however many people do not understand how valuable a tool alternative medicine can be. Many of the people and the facilities who deliver the alternative medicine use natural herbs, acupuncture and exercise to help the body to maintain good working balance. The herbs are natural and are used to help the body heal itself. The acupuncture helps the energy flow in the body. The energy flow in the body is very important to the body’s fitness. Heat is another tool used in alternative medicine. The heat improves the blood flow. If the blood flow in the body is not strong throughout all parts of the body, inflammation can start to buildup in the body. Alternative medicine in many cases uses heat to treat the inflammation buildup in the body. The heat applied directly on the areas of the body that is inflamed will reduce the build up of the inflamed area. The use of acupuncture coupled with light electric shocks will then increase the blood flow through the areas of the body that was previously inflamed. The improved blood flow throughout the body will help to ensure the inflammation will not return. The herbs have many other valuable results on the body. Exercise programs are extremely important in maintaining good health and preventing sickness and diseases. The Truth Plan will prioritize getting the people in all communities to exercise and eat better, however we will put particular emphasis on the low and middle income communities. The Truth Plan intends to do everything in our power to achieve the goal of health insurance for all people in America. We know that to achieve this, the insurance companies must lower premiums and make them more affordable for employers and individuals. The government must continue to give incentives to employers to provide health insurance to their employees. The federal government must continue to provide healthcare subsidies to people who do not work and those who do work but cannot afford healthcare. The healthcare providers, equipment manufacturers, drug manufacturers and all the people and companies involved in delivering healthcare to patients must reduce the costs they charge for their goods and services. More jobs have to be created, so people can either get health insurance from their employers or afford a health insurance premium. The cost to the government for delivering healthcare subsidies must be reduced. This will ensure that the federal government will be able to provide healthcare insurance to many people who do not work and those who do work but cannot afford health insurance. The Truth Plan knows that this goal can be achieved and The Truth Plan intends to work very hard to achieve this goal. I discuss these issues in depth in the book.

MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

The media and the entertainment industries are two industries that have a profound impact on the way we as the general public view situations, cultures, ethnic groups, communities, government, the world and much more. Many Americans, and people throughout the world, rely upon what they hear or see on television, radio, DVDs, newspapers, magazines, other media and entertainment sources, in order to form their opinions about particular events, culture, groups of people, situations, government and much more. It is important for the media and entertainment industry to properly convey the true characteristics of each diverse group of people who live in America. Some in the media, do not report the positive contributions of people in the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. Some in the media are a little slower to report on the positive contributions of the groups of people in the the African American, African Caribbean American, Hispanic and Latino American communities. The media reporting must reflect the good and the bad, as well as areas where improvement is needed in all communities. We will never reach the level of coexistence, that we must achieve, to become the America that we all know that we can become, if the media reporting does not reflect the good and the bad about all people in all neighborhoods and all communities. I discuss this issue in depth in the book.
